Here is a PDF document providing the guidelines of the academic capstone portfolio for students who are enrolled in the 30-credit M.Ed. in LDT program.
- If you are a postbaccalaureate certificate student, this information is FYI unless you plan to apply for and be admitted to the M.Ed. program anytime this point forward.
- If you are currently enrolled in the 33-credit M.Ed. in LDT—Ed Tech Option degree program, and you intend to complete the program as outlined when you enrolled, this portfolio information is FYI only. If you intend to change your program from the 33-credit to the 30-credit M.Ed., there are details you must know presented below.
For the 30-credit M.Ed. in LDT program students:
- Review these guidelines and note the due dates.
- Be sure to communicate your intended three projects for your portfolio with your advisor well in advance of your expected final submission.
- The guidelines were intended to maintain consistent expectations for the M.Ed. portfolio while allowing flexibility to students and advisors.
For those currently in the 33-credit M.Ed. in LDT-EdTech Option program:
- Your official completion of a program is based on the program you were admitted under.
- There were substantial changes between the 33-credit program and the 30-credit program. If you are considering a change from the 33-credit to the 30-credit, note that you may incur a need to take additional coursework in order to fulfill the 30-credit program’s particular course requirements.
- We will continue to offer the courses or substitutions necessary for 33-credit program students to complete their degree, so there is no expectation from the program for students to change.
Overall, Dr. Kirby happy to help clarify details about the portfolio and the various program requirements, but his advisement does not aim to replace the advisement offered by your assigned advisor.
