The LDT Online Programs has an established admissions timetable, which includes specific deadlines for the receipt of complete applications for degree and certificate programs.
Applications for admission must be complete by the deadlines listed below in order to be reviewed for admission:
- APRIL 1 – Complete Application Deadline for Summer Start
- JUNE 15 – Complete Application Deadline for Fall Start
- NOVEMBER 1 – Complete Application Deadline for Spring Start
A complete application for the M.Ed. in LDT program requires all parts of the application to be received and in-hand by the LDT program staff, including all letters of recommendation, transcripts, test scores that may need to be submitted by third parties.
A complete application for the postbaccalaureate certificates offered by the LDT Online Programs (Educational Technology Integration, e-Learning Design, and Teaching and Learning Online in K-12 Settings) requires all parts of the application to be received and in-hand by the LDT program staff, including all transcripts, résumé/CV, essay, short-response items, and proof of English proficiency (when required).
Any application that is not complete by the deadline will be retained and reviewed for the next admissions timeframe.
Certificate to Degree Process
Students who are about to take (or currently taking) their final course in their postbaccalaureate certificate program, and who wish to be considered for the Master of Education in Learning, Design, and Technology Program, must have a complete application submitted according to the deadlines and expectations listed above. For example, students who are taking the final course of their certificate in the fall should submit their complete application for the M.Ed. program (including letters of recommendation) before November 1. Early applications are always welcome and encouraged.
Transition from certificate to degree is not automatic, and each applicant’s performance in their postbaccalaureate certificate courses is evaluated along with all other required application materials. Completing one of the postbaccalaureate certificates offered by the LDT Online Programs will make an applicant to the M.Ed. program eligible to request a GRE/MAT score submission waiver.
