Hello to our students and colleagues! We’re looking forward to the fall term. We hope that you’re ready, too! This post will summarize our program’s current course registration status, and advise students on which Fall 2018 course(s) to register for if they’ve not yet registered.
Registration Status
We have been registering our students for Fall 2018 courses since March 23. With that, there are some seats remaining across our courses, but it is important that you act quickly. We just admitted a healthy incoming cohort of students who will take their first course with us in the fall, and they are registering for their choice of courses as you read this. If you need to register for a Fall 2018 course, time is of the essence!

Course Choice Advisement
There are plenty of seats available for our new students to enroll in their first course(s)—if they register without delay. New students could register for:
- LDT 467 – Emerging Web Technologies and Learning
- LDT 527 sec 002 – Designing Constructivist Learning Environments
- LDT 566 – Computers as Learning Tools
- LDT 505 – Integrating Mobile Technologies into Learning Environments
Our LDT Courses page summarizes which courses are applicable to each of our certificate and degree offerings. For discussion about specific program needs:
- EDTECH – Students who are new to the Postbaccalaureate Certificate in Educational Technology Integration should read the standing advisement for that certificate program.
- ELEARN – Students who are new to the Postbaccalaureate Certificate in e-Learning Design should read the standing advisement for that certificate program.
- TLOK12 – Students in the Teaching and Learning Online in K-12 Settings should write to Dr. Kirby to discuss advising issues.
- M.Ed. in LDT students should read the student handbook and course progress checklist on our documents page. Following that reading, contact your assigned academic advisor (found on your admissions letter/email).
Wait Lists are Critical
If the course(s) that you wish to take are full, you must add yourself to the official wait list for each of the courses on LionPATH. The LionPATH course wait list is the only official means by which we can gauge course need by our students. While we understand students’ desires to email faculty members and ask if they can be “let in”, the truth is that nothing matters outside of the wait list. We want to serve our students, and to maximize enrollment for the term, to the extent possible, and all course and enrollment management is done through LionPATH.
No Prerequisites for LDT Students
Some university data sources list prerequisite courses for some of the courses included in our certificate or degree programs. Please note that if you have been formally accepted into an LDT certificate or degree program, the prerequisites are waived for you. (Students who are not accepted into one of our programs would be required to take the prereqs, but our students do not require prereqs.)
